Future of RAW Guest Host Gimmick; Another Possible HOF Inductee

- Former WWE ring announcer Lauren Mayhew will be singing the National Anthem at the Los Angeles Clippers game on Wednesday.

- It’s not finalized, but Steve Austin may be the final RAW guest host. The original idea was to end the guest host angle at WrestleMania but there has been talk of extending it. While Austin is the last name listed by WWE to host, with TNA going to Monday nights WWE may choose to keep the guest host gig around to help boost ratings against TNA.

- One source suggested that Primo recently being featured on RAW and Superstars as well as Carlito being named a WWE NXT Pro may be due to their father, Carlos Colon, being pitched for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame. However, with Antonio Inoki already being inducted this year, they may not want to go with two international stars.

- ECW ring announcer Lauren Mayhew wasn’t present at last night’s Survivor Series pay-per-view as she was attending The American Music Awards
in Los Angeles.

- After sustaining Triple H’s Pedigree on last week’s RAW, Hornswoggle was out this week to sell the injury and is expected to return at the 11/30 RAW which emanates from Baltimore, Maryland. As pointed out on RAW, he has “sued” DX. This might tie into a storyline with next week’s special guest host — Verne Troyer.

- Representatives for WWE’s new announcer Lauren C. Mayhew want fans to know that she will not be appearing topless in her new movie Frat Party, which comes out on DVD next month.

- WWE just released the new “Never Give Up” t-shirt that John Cena wore at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

- Rey Mysterio is scheduled to appear on Monday at the Bookends bookstore in Ridgewood, New Jersey from 6-8PM to sign copies of his new book.

WWE Cancels Shows, Superstars Rating, Lauren’s New Single

have been canceled.

- New WWE announcer Lauren Mayhew has a free MP3 for download on her MySpace page at myspace.com/laurenmayhew. The song is “I Spy” and will be featured on a future episode of MTV’s The City.

- This week’s episode of WWE Superstars on WGN America scored an 0.8 rating. The replay later on did an 0.2 rating.

- The following matches have been announced for WWE’s Supershow at the 50,000 seat Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York on December 20th: John Cena vs. Randy Orton, DX vs. Chris Jericho & Big Show, Batista vs. Kane and The Miz vs. MVP vs. Kofi Kingston
