One of the main reasons WWE went with the decision to put the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships on Edge and Chris Jericho is because Edge is banged up right now and doing tag matches will allow him to do slightly less work in the ring reports The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter. However, it may put him in the ring more often since the Unified champions are slated to appear on all three brands if need be.
Next week’s edition of ECW on Sci Fi will be pushed to Thursday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern (6:00 p.m. Central). This is changed due to Sci Fi airing the two hour debut of “Warehouse 13.” This night will also debut the new channel name of “SyFy”. This also means we will have four hours of pro wrestling next Thursday with ECW at 7:00 p.m. ET, WWE Superstars at 8:00 p.m. ET and TNA Impact at 9:00 p.m. ET until 11:00 p.m. ET.
