Scott Hall Starts a Fight at Iron Sheik’s Roast
Written by: Eddie T. on Saturday, October 11th, 2008

A very drunk Scott Hall started a fight today at the Iron Sheik’s roast in New Jersey, as he lost control on a comedian performing at the event. According to several sources, comedian Jimmy Graham made a poor-taste-roast-level joke by saying to wrestling journalist Bill Apter, “Bill Apter, you’re deader than Owen Hart.” This caused Hall — who had been drinking heavily by this time in the evening — to charge the banquet table and go after Graham, eventually throwing punches at him. He followed by getting on the house mic and yelling about how disrespectful to Owen Hart this was. It took security, police, and the help of Jim Powers (a former wrestler himself) to restrain Hall, as he was taken to his room.

  1. Dave says:

The whole Owen Hart subject should have been left alone no matter what the event is… It was not even a roast level joke… theres just some things that should be left alone

  2. Jacob Spades says:

Frankly, I would have done the exact same. This may be a hyper-comparison, but it’s like losing a loved on in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and then sitting back while someone uses the result as the butt of their joke. Scott Hall should not be condemned for his actions, but rather praised.

  3. Joe says:

He should be condemned for hobbling around a public event intoxicated and further – those who enabled him to drink should be condemned. The world knows that this man has a problem and they sit back and do little to help. Sad.
