TNA Major Impact: The Final 1-Hour Impact
Written by: Joe on Thursday, September 27th, 2007
TBLWrestling.com Presents TNA Major Impact!

Well folks, here it is: the last 1-hour Impact before the big 2-hour debut next week. Let’s hope that this week’s show is a little bit better than last week’s!

And the show starts with some creepiness from James Mitchell and Judas Messias before we go to Team 3D taking on Sonjay Dutt and Shark Boy. You can imagine where this one went…and quick. The segment ends with Team 3D continuing their bad guy schtick by beating the hell out of these two after the match ended.

We’re then treated to the Voodoo Kin Mafia giving it the old WWE/Jim Ross try by attempting to verbally bury the younger talent because they fly around too much. Sorry guys, this isn’t the early 2000′s up in Connecticut so that line isn’t going to work any more. Better luck next time.

Sting and Messias mixed it up again in the continuation of a sub-plot to two separate storylines. I’m more than happy to NOT have these two men beating the hell out of each other and beating up their respective enemies instead. I will continue to hold out hope for some logical, clean reason for all of this mixing up, but I don’t think it’s worth waiting up.

More of my TNA favorites – the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) won their match tonight against the returning Jimmy Rave and the Hemme-powered Lance Hoyt. All around good match with all of these men getting in some good spots.

The major impact of the night was the main event, which was an all-women’s brawl that saw the Voodoo Queen Roxxi Laveaux win. Lots of action here as TNA is pumping up their women’s division, getting ready to crown the first-ever TNA Knockout Champion at Bound for Glory in October.

That’s the end of the 1-Hour era for TNA Impact. Where do they go from here? Tune in next week to find out!

Quote of the Night:
“Just ’cause you can do a backflip don’t mean you’re a professional wrestler. Hell, I take dumps bigger than most of you boys!” – BG James showing how he doesn’t get the “alternative” aura of TNA

That man MVP is now about as bitter as a Pennsylvania primary voter except instead of clinging to guns and religion, he clings to the chance of earning World Heavyweight Championship gold. — Mick Foley, Friday Night Smackdown – May 9, 2008
